  • Copyediting and line editing of fiction and nonfiction

    • Generally, on completion of the copyedit, in addition to the edited manuscript with queries and Tracked Changes, you'll receive a handover note outlining any global issues and a style sheet, as well as one version of the manuscript with all changes accepted, for reference.

  • Developmental editing of fiction

    • In addition to an edited manuscript, you'll receive an editorial assessment letter, usually between five and ten pages, that outlines major issues against the manuscript plot arc, as well as potential solutions, all of which support the detailed edits made in the manuscript.

  • Fiction manuscript review

    • An assessment of the first three to five chapters of a fiction manuscript.

  • Proofreading of fiction and nonfiction

  • Fact-checking and reference editing

Rates

All editorial projects are different and therefore have different needs. Therefore, project rates are ultimately determined by a free sample edit and an initial consultation, in which you'll see the level of editing recommended and the types of edits you should expect to see throughout the manuscript, as well as the work involved. The sample edit includes a tentative timeline, scope of work, and rate based on the manuscript you share with me.  Contact me today to discuss your editorial needs.
